What is a skid (structure)?

What is a skid? A device called a liquid chlorine package is used to purify water and remove contaminants from various sources. This package may include a variety of components, some of the most important of which include a calibration pot, dosing pump, pressure gauge, flowmeter, pulsation damper, electrical panel, and analyzer.

- Placing all parts on a unique and removable structure
- This allows the components of the liquid chlorine package to be delivered as a complete set, rather than separately.
This equipment usually has no specific disadvantages; however, if its construction does not comply with the required standards, the following problems may arise during its operation:
- Difficulty in operating operations (in case of non-standard design and construction)
- Possibility of corrosion
