High velocity water spray nozzles

A high velocity water spray nozzle is a non-automatic, open-ended, directional spray nozzle used to control and spray water in a specific pattern to extinguish fires under specific conditions. High velocity (HV) spray nozzles are primarily used to protect fixed hazards where the use of high velocity water is required. This includes applications such as the protection of electrical transformers, circuit breakers, oil-fired boilers and lubricating oil systems. These nozzles distribute water passing through the line in a constant, smooth pattern that extends to the ground or fire surface to submerge the fire. High velocity spray nozzles are available in a range of k-factors from 75 to 100 degrees.
