Inspection of fire gear pump
The fire fighting gear pump is a group of positive displacement pumps that move a constant amount of fluid at each rotation of the gears.
The types of gear pumps are:
1- External Gear Pumps
2- Internal Gear Pumps
3- Lobe Pumps
4- screw pump
5- Gyrotor
Internal gear pump material:
Body and gear: cast iron, bronze, stainless steel, Teflon polymer and alloy steel
Bush: Carbon Graphite, Bronze, Silicon Carbide, Tungsten Carbide, Ceramic Shaft: Alloy Steel, Stainless Steel
External fire gear pump:
External fire gear pump is often widely used for pumping oil in power transmission systems, hydraulic systems, machine tools and other parts.
Their small sizes usually work at 1450 or 3000 rpm and the larger sizes at 650 rpm.
This is because in the external gear pump of the fire department, the flow rate can be controlled according to the circumference and the internal structure, so for pumping a precise amount of various fluids (as a dosing pump) such as all kinds of fuels, polymers, chemical additives, acid and openings are used.
