Lubi Centrifugal Fire Pump (LHMF/LFM series)

A centrifugal pump is a pump that uses a rotating impeller to increase the pressure of a fluid. Centrifugal pumps are generally used to move fluid through a piping system. The fluid enters the pump impeller along or near the rotating axis and is accelerated by this impeller and quickly flows outward into a spreader or spiral chamber from where it exits into the downstream piping system.

The blades on the propeller expand exponentially from the center of the propeller, which reduces speed and increases pressure. This allows the centrifugal pump to create continuous high pressure flows.

Centrifugal pumps have a spiral-shaped housing, which is called a shell or casing, and inside there are one or more wheels mounted on an axis (shaft), and each wheel is equipped with a number of vanes. Energy is transferred to the fluid in this part, so that the fluid does not come out of the shaft exit from the pump casing, so that there is no leakage, a tool called mechanical seal is used. A very important point about these types of pumps is to ventilate or prime the pump before turning them on, that is, after lining up the pump and ensuring that the fluid enters inside, the pump must also prevent the complete release of air or gas trapped inside the pump.
