A jet water pump is a type of water pump that is used to transfer water. Using the pressure and speed of the jet, this pump collects water from a source such as a well or a river and transports it to a destination such as a tank or an irrigation and water transfer system.

This pump mainly consists of three parts: the primary chamber (usually with centrifugal action) that collects the water and increases its speed, the nozzle or outlet that forms the water jet, and the absorption chamber that, by creating a negative pressure, draws the water. absorbs from the source.

When the water enters the primary chamber, it is usually increased in speed by a centrifugal pump. Then it comes out of the nozzle and is thrown out as a strong jet at high speed. This water jet increases its pressure and flow due to the mechanical effect caused by the high speed and absorbs the surrounding water along with it. Then the absorbed water goes to the absorption chamber and from there it is transferred to the desired system or destination.

Jet Pump is widely used due to its simple structure and no need for moving parts. However, it is less efficient than centrifugal pumps and gear pumps, and this pump is mostly used for purposes such as use in deep wells and transporting water over long distances.

Due to having an internal ejector in the pump head or pump head, the jet water pump has the possibility of transferring water with a limited amount of air or gas bubbles and has the same function as a plate water pump.. If there is air in the suction part of this pump, It takes a maximum of 5 minutes for the jet water pump to discharge the air from its suction part without venting. This type of pump can suck water from a depth of up to 8 meters if there is a valve or one-way valve at the end of its suction pipe.
