post indicator valve, also known as post valve or the fire station valve, is a type of valve that is used to isolate a part of the water flow path and isolate the fire fighting valves. Inductor post valve or post indicator valve is a set of fire valves that are used to open or close the power supply of fire protection systems in large buildings.
This part consists of a common valve or butterfly valve that is installed on the main pipe of the fire fighting system and has a protruding cylinder that protrudes from the ground or from the wall and is produced from different heights. A valve actuator and a visual valve status indicator are located on top of the valve post. This arrangement of parts makes the valve open and close easily and its position can be seen clearly. There are three main types of fire isolating valves: underground, base and surface, and they are installed in different configurations and orientations.
The basic firefighting post or buried series are used inside buildings with underground water network. This type is similar in many ways to the ground post type except for the post installation method. This valve has a flanged beam that is bolted to a plinth or concrete footing. The rest of the valve sending mechanism remains the same as the ground post valve.
The wall post valve is used where the main flow of water passes through a hole in the wall. This type of faucet has a short post that protrudes horizontally from the wall. This type generally has a trolley type actuator and status indicator similar to other types.
Fire protection systems in large buildings and factories are generally fed from underground water networks or wall cavities.
These valves are typically located at the entry point of any firefighting system or sub-system, and the gate or butterfly mechanism is mostly underground or wall cavities.
To ensure they are easily visible and accessible, the valve's controls and status indicator are mounted on a raised beam that protrudes from the floor or wall.
