This type of stand-up fire fighting valves are used in places where there is a possibility of the temperature dropping below zero and the water inside the pipe freezing. The design of this type of valve is done in such a way that the water entering the hydrant and the main valve are installed under the water freezing line.

When the standing fire hydrant or fire hydrant is used, water flows into the main body of the hydrant and the fireman can provide the necessary water to extinguish the fire from the fire hydrant outlets, but when the main valve It closes, the automatic drain valve (Drain Valve) which is installed in the lower part of the pipe opens and as a result it is possible to drain the water inside the main body and the pipe.

This type of fire hydrant uses a wet pipe that water always flows into and their upper part is connected inside the ground. The main problem with these fire hydrants is that they don’t have a main valve and they have a separate valve for each outlet.

Standing fire hydrant valve is more firefighting because they use a pipe full of water, they are not used at all in cold areas where there is a possibility of freezing, and they also do not support the shock absorber system against the pipe breaking to prevent water wastage. Therefore, it does not have the advantages of a dry standing fire hydrant.
