3- Middle body: This body is placed underground and consists of a pipe and two normal flanges as well as a safety flange.

4- The lower body: it includes a valve to control the amount of watering and an automatic drain system. It has two flange connections and a receiver opening.

What is the main function of standing fire fighting valves / hydrants with dry housing?

This type of fire hydrant uses a wet pipe that water always flows into and their upper part is connected inside the ground. The main problem with these fire hydrants is that they don’t have a main valve and they have a separate valve for each outlet.

Standing fire hydrant valve is more firefighting because they use a pipe full of water, they are not used at all in cold areas where there is a possibility of freezing, and they also do not support the shock absorber system against the pipe breaking to prevent water wastage. Therefore, it does not have the advantages of a dry standing fire hydrant.
